About Michael and Jaime

Mike and Jaime met at Michigan Technological University and became great friends. after years of great friendship, eh, why not? When they say opposites attract, boy do they really mean it. Though Mike and Jaime share Engineering careers, a love of good books, the outdoors, and a few other common interests, their personalities are very different. While avoiding a psychological analysis of Mike and Jaime's strength's and flaws, their deep respect for each other's differences allow them to use each other's strengths to support their own weaknesses, which makes all their adventures far more exciting together. The world better watch out, these two have plans to adventure the United States and the rest of the world through literature and exploration.

Meet the wedding party!

Rachel List - Maid of Honor

Rachel and I met years ago in a college english class; however, it wasn't until we shared a cubical at work, when Rachel started, did we find how much we had in common. From the love of dancing to music lyrics, We found true friendship! Rachel is one of a kind. Extremely amazing, super talented, a lyrical genius and the nicest person I could possibly evermeet! She is always straight forward with me and honest. We may neveragree on everything, but we do agree on this. She and I are the best of friends, and I couldn't celebrate this day without her by my side!

Matthew Dettl - Best Man

Matt is my brother and my first friend. We have fought and tortured each other in way that only brothers can, but almost thirty years later, I am still happy to call him my friend, as well as my brother. He has always been there for me, but we have started to get along much better now that we don't live together. Nowadays, Matt and I share many interests and hobbies, and I am always happy to have him around.

Tracy Craig - Sister & Bridesmaid

Though many years apart, these two sisters have grown to get to know each other each and every year. Tracy has been a part of every major milestone in my life and I couldn't walk into my new chapter without her there. She loves her animals, cats and dogs, may Cocoa and Lady rest in peace. She loves photography and our great hometown of Detroit.

Jillian Comps - Bridesmaid

If I had to thank my job for something other than paying my bills, I would thank them for the freedom I have. If it wasn't for this I wouldn't be able to go to the cafeteria to socialize sometimes, Jillian and I would never have met. Our afternoon conversations lead to this beautiful friendship! Although I had to wait FOREVER for her to be old enough, I can now always count on her to turn boring group outings into parties. She will always talk to me about clothes, shoes, dogs, and anything else that comes up. There is also no one else that can drink and dance the way we do one weekend, but then be up for camping the next. We are always on the lookout for different men for her, so fellas if you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, meet her out on the dance floor!

Ellie VanDuren - Bridesmaid

In my description of Eddie, you will notice that I mention his wonderful family. Ellie has become like a little sister to me. I have watched her grow up from a rebellious teenager to a slightly less rebellious adult. She is a strong woman with a great heart, and, even though I may get the urge to beat up anyone that treats her poorly, she never needs my help in that regard. Ellie is always up for partying, and I occassionally make the mistake of thinking that I can keep up with her.

Isaiah Cunningham - Groomsman

Isaiah and I met many years ago in college, through different black student organizations. Through his focus in his studies, his interest in working out we became friends. Throughout the years after his graduation and mine we still remained best of buds, which is why I couldn't imagine this day without him being at our side!

Kyle Shipley - Groomsman

I met Kyle in Boy Scouts. I was his troop guide, and he was a huge pain in my ... side. Over the years though, we became very close friends. We flipped a kayak on the Au Sale river, almost got heat stroke on Isle Roayle, and ran a sail boat into a reef in the middle of the ocean. We share common intersts in guns, paintball, and building hovercrafts out of various items that we found in his dad's garage.

Eddie VanDuren - Groomsman

Kyle introduced me to Eddie in my senior year of high school. I didn't like him and thought he was very annoying. I quickly got over that, and Eddie became one of my best friends. Eddie introduced me to Blissfest, and his wonderful family, both of which will always be a part of my life. Eddie is always up for just about anything, and as such, we spend a lot of time together playing frisbee golf, paintball, skating - Eddie actually doing so, and me attempting to, skiing/snowboarding (respectively), mountain biking, camping, moving each other's furniture (especially my massive hutch), and playing nerd games of various sorts.

thank you very much!
